Ordering & Account
How do I place an order? +
Sign in with your mobile number, browse products, add items to your cart and tap Checkout. You'll choose between pickup or delivery, then confirm.
Do I need to create an account? +
You can browse without an account, but ordering requires verifying your mobile number with a one-time code (OTP). It's instant and you only do it once.
I didn't receive my OTP — what now? +
Check signal strength and wait up to 60 seconds. Tap Resend OTP. If it still doesn't arrive, try a different number or contact us at 074 394 1403.
Can I update my account details? +
Yes — head to My Account to update your name, address, default branch and saved delivery locations.
Delivery & Pickup
What's the minimum order? +
The minimum order is Rs 500. You can mix and match any items to reach it.
How much is delivery? +
Delivery starts at Rs 250. Spend over Rs 3,000 and we'll deliver for FREE.
How fast is delivery? +
Same-day for orders placed before noon — typically within 2–4 hours. Orders after noon arrive next morning. We'll send updates by SMS and push notification.
Where do you deliver? +
We deliver around our 4 branches in Dehiwela and Badulla. You can also choose Uber or PickMe for on-demand delivery from any branch.
Can I pick up my order? +
Absolutely — pick the Store Pickup option at checkout. We'll text you when your order is ready, usually within 60 minutes.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept? +
Cash on Delivery, Visa/Mastercard online, and bank transfer for large orders. Payment on pickup is also available at all branches.
Is online payment secure? +
Yes — all card payments go through PCI-compliant gateways. We never store your card details on our servers.
Can I get a tax invoice? +
Yes, every order receives a digital invoice via email and SMS. You can re-download it from My Orders.
Returns & Refunds
What's your return policy? +
Fresh items (vegetables, fruits, dairy, meat) — report within 24 hours and we'll replace or refund. Packaged items — return unopened within 7 days for a full refund.
How do I report an issue with my order? +
Open My Orders → tap the order → tap Report Issue. We respond within a few hours.
How long do refunds take? +
Cash refunds at the branch — instantly. Card refunds — typically 3–7 business days, depending on your bank.
Products & Pricing
Are prices the same as in-store? +
Yes. Online prices match our in-store shelf prices for your selected branch. Some online-only offers may apply.
Are products fresh? +
We pick orders the day of dispatch. Fresh produce is hand-selected by our team — if quality isn't up to standard, we'll swap or refund without questions.
What if a product is out of stock? +
You'll see a clear "Out of Stock" badge before adding. If something goes out during checkout, we'll suggest a replacement or refund the line item.
Can I request a product you don't carry? +
Yes — email info@mkb.lk with the product name and we'll try to source it.
Mobile App
Where can I download the MKB app? +
It's available on Google Play and the Apple App Store — search "MKB.lk". You'll get push notifications for offers and order updates.
Does the app work offline? +
Yes — your wishlist and recently-viewed products are cached. You can browse offline and your cart will sync once you're back online.
Will my web cart sync to the app? +
Yes, when you log in with the same mobile number on both, your cart, wishlist and order history sync automatically.
